SERVICES

Metrowide provides strategic support services at various stages in its clients' projects - a total project cycle capability - from the pre-feasibility stages (including site suitability/selection) to strategy implementation formulation to the development and actual implementation, to monitoring of progress and evaluation of impacts to round out full project completion.

Metrowide provides due diligence, as well as permitting and regulatory support services (including the conduct of environmental impact assessments or initial environmental examinations). It continues to render consulting and advisory services in economic and market studies for new and prospective ventures - identifying at the earliest stages any potential problems in proposed acquisitions and mergers or joint ventures, which may prove to either be a source of dispute or cost overruns or most importantly, the inability to collect.

While still at the earliest stages of its registration in 2003, Metrowide did a cost-revenue sensitivity study for IPM that was the basis for a cost proposal submitted with Maunsell Philippines, Inc. (local office of US engineering design consultancy), for the LGU of San Fernando, Pampanga's integrated solid waste management facility project, implemented as a Public-Private Sector Partnership propounded by PEMSEA (a UNDP-GEF-IMO-funded project at the DENR compound on Visayas Avenue in Quezon City).

In that study, Metrowide explored project financing options: either taken out by the LGU itself or the possible availment by IPM of its credit line with a bank to implement the project but considering the scenario of actual drawdowns vs. LGU repayment / reimbursement of expenditures for work accomplishment. Metrowide also evaluated the near- to long-term impact of the project to subsistence families living on the take from dumpsite scavenging, vis-a-vis certain interventions proposed for implementation.
